University accreditation applies to courses from this institution

Currently, the UL has 134 study programs enrolling 16,720 students from Latvia and foreign countries. The Accreditation Commission evaluates study programs by a number of quality indicators: infrastructure, internship opportunities, students’ opinions regarding a particular program, employers’ reviews and many others. A study program can be accredited for two or six years, or not be accredited at all. By making a positive decision, the State allows a university to issue State-recognized diplomas, thus acknowledging that the program is of high quality and that the country needs such specialists. In their turn , the students can benefit from it by receiving State-guaranteed student loans, State-funded study places and scholarships.
